Sandakadapahana Music Event
– Event Summary Report to be submitted to committee by the Secretary
– Financial Summary Report to be submitted to committee by the Treasure
– Complete Collection of Sponsorships & Donations
Above to be completed by mid February
Annual General Meeting 2015/2016
– AGM of the Old Anandians 99 Group will be held on the 28th of February 2015
– It was decided to go ahead with the Annual get-together since it is one of our group’s key annual activities but to organize it low-key considering the loss of our beloved brother Varunajeewa in December
– It was further decided to have the AGM & Annual get together at the same date. Location will be notified soon
Water Purification Project – Eliya Divulwewa, Eppawala
– Civil construction work required for the purification plant will be commenced within the month of February
– 99 Group team will be visiting the village on the 1st of February 2015
– We expect to hand over the plant to the villagers within the month of March 2015
Old Anandians Group of 99 Membership Cards
– A NEW membership card to be issued to all members of the Old Anandians Group of 99
– Nominal fee to be paid to obtain the newly designed Membership Card
– Card to be issued ONLY on request. We expect to launch the Membership card at the group AGM
Ananda College Main OBA
– Main OBA AGM will be held on the 28th of March 2015
– All Main OBA members who have completed 3 years can contest to the Main OBA Executive Committee seats
– Currently about 5 candidates have shown their interest to contest for the elections
– Several other affiliated groups have shown interest to give their support to our group nominees at the elections
Other Activities
– It was proposed to organize a “Mal Poojawa” on the 8th of February to remember Varunajeewa and others from the group who are no longer with us
– On the request made by the school Deputy Principal Mr. Mahamithawa requesting donation of books to the library of the Mahamithawa Vidyalaya at Nikaweratiya, it was agreed to provide necessary help after obtaining further details and official confirmation of the requirements
