“Old Anandians’ Group of 99” Meeting Minutes

We met once again to discuss the next set of actions for our group and made good progress with what we want to achieve. Here is the detailed summary as well as some photos from the meeting.

9th March -“Anada Mithusara” @ Buddadasa Grounds , Battaramulla
- 27 Members participated for the event
- Committee members participated for a Cricket match
- Learning Outcomes -Well organized and well participated event
4th March – Newly Re constructed “Ananda Viharaya” Re Opening
- 4 Members Participated for the event from the group
- As the official representative Lasith Rajakaruna participated
- Official souvenir was handed over to the President at the meeting
Water Purification Project
- MA presented a brief of the plan so far for the above project
- Sub Committee will conduct a field visit to “JanakaPura” and conduct a preliminary feasibility study on the first week of April
- Requested to provide mode of transport
Welfare Activities to Ananda College
- VA had received a request from the Principle Ananda Primary to conduct a workshop for Primary students on Communication Skills
- AD authorized the subcommittee to decide on a suitable date in MAY
- Shaminda S had already consented to participate as one resource personnel
5th April – “Maroons Brotherhood 99” Joint Vehicle Rally organized with Nanlalda College 99 batch
- Rally arrangements were presented by ML & VP
- Vehicles will meet up at respective schools at 9:30 am and start the procession from 10am towards Keththarama Stadium
- Coordinated with Nanlada 99 OBA and communicate final plan by the 2nd of April – AD,VP,IP& ML
